Most people are familiar with the term SEO (Search Engine Optimization), but do you ever wonder if you are maximizing your SEO potential? If you’re looking to simplify the analytics for your site, MailChimp has a plug-in for WordPress called Analytics360, which takes your MailChimp Campaigns, WordPress blog data and Google Analytics tracking and consolidates them into a single report. Results are immediately displayed in your account dashboard. Analytics360 not only allows you to see the traffic you are getting directly from a particular e-mail campaign or blog post, it also shows you where that traffic is coming from, geographically and “Internetographically,” or where in the Internet something has came from.
Analytics360 is a part of our core PowerSite packages that make controlling all your promotional channels that much easier. We use it with our client Pahl’s Markets, so just let us know if it’s something you would like to add to your WordPress site.
Tracking online advertising for your new website is an easy way to find out which marketing campaigns are working and which aren’t. The great thing about MarketSmart PowerSite packages is that they come with tracking to help determine how effectively your marketing dollars are being spent. It’s important to know how to set up and use tracking tools in Google Analytics when you start advertising with outside sources, so I’ve walked through the process in the video below. I’ll show you how to use simple tracking tools like Google URL Builder and how to link Google Analytics and Google Adwords accounts.
